Recently, Singapore's Environmental Protection Department (NEA) announced a new "Environmental Protection and Control Act," the list of hazardous substances, including mercury and a series of brominated flame retardants.
Since September 1, 2011, the list of substances will be required to import and export licenses.
Other substances in the list include: alachlor; single polybrominated diphenyl ethers; dibromo-diphenyl ether; three polybrominated diphenyl ethers; four polybrominated diphenyl ether; six polybrominated diphenyl ether; seven polybrominated diphenyl ether; nona diphenyl ether; polybrominated butadiene.
